How to Make CBD Suppositories?

How to make CBD Suppositories? So, in a change to the usual angle for our ‘How to Bake’ series, today we shall be discussing sticking CBD where the sun don’t shine, and answering the question ‘how to make CBD suppositories?’.

As always, we will be talking about the best ways to create these products, but perhaps more importantly, we will also be discussing why you may want to do that.

It’s possible that you are immediately turned off by the title of this and want nothing more to do with the subject, that’s cool, we won’t judge you for leaving, there’s lots of other good stuff to read on our pages.

More than anything else we’ve ever written, this one is for the hippies, like, the proper hippies, the howling at the full moon, dancing naked around the fire, nothing is off limits kind of hippies (I see you, I’m one of you, we’re good people).

If you’re not necessarily one for hugging trees, but are curious as to why CBD suppositories might be a thing, we’re here for you too, and we’ll start by answering the logical first question you have; “why on earth would I put it there?”.

Why CBD Suppositories?

Everything that we’re going to say here is based on anecdotal evidence from others. Even my hippy self has not taken CBD in this way, and there isn’t a great deal of science into CBD methods, that’s more focused on general potential health benefits at this point.

That is to say, we are writing this article after collating the opinions of numerous people who sing the praises of CBD suppositories, and putting the general consensus among them here for you to enjoy.

The majority of people who use CBD suppositories do so in an effort to relieve some form of digestive discomfort. In many cases, they say this works.

For many, CBD suppositories are simply the best way to take CBD and they will not hear anything else about it.

Suppositories are a unique way to get products into your system, as, obviously, they reach certain parts of your body quicker than they would if taken orally, potentially reducing the risk of active ingredients being broken down as they work through your system.

CBD suppositories work on this same logic, basically if you’re trying to heal something that’s closer to your butt than your mouth, try CBD suppositories, is what they say.

Still interested? We’re going to be honest; we reckon we might’ve lost a fair few of you by now, but for those strong-willed or immensely curious few who are still with us, let’s get into the… recipe? Is recipe the right word? Method, let’s say method.

Method for making CBD Suppositories

All you need to make a CBD suppository is some CBD oil, a base oil (coconut oil is a good one to deal with the fat soluble nature of CBD oil, sunflower oil also works, but essentially pick your base oil. We’re going to guess that if you’re the type of person to be googling ‘CBD Suppositories’, the chances are you already have a favourite base oil. Grapeseed is mine, for the record) and a pop-out ice tray.

This method couldn’t be easier, basically, you put the base oil into the ice cube tray (if it’s a high-quality coconut oil you may need to add some heat here) and then gently stir in your CBD oil.

Then you just freeze them, and once they’re frozen, they’re ready to go… well, you know where they’re ready to go.

Some people like to add essential oils here to potentially add some extra health benefit to their suppositories, you can do that if you choose, but be aware that certain essential oils are known to lose their potency when frozen.

The last bit of advice we have here is simple, be careful. We are not advising that you use CBD suppositories, nor are we saying that you shouldn’t.
