How to Apply CBD for Headaches

How to Apply CBD for HeadachesDo you suffer from headaches or migraines? Are you curious as to whether CBD could help but you’re not sure how to try? Allow us to present information on how to apply CBD for headaches.

There’s a few questions to go through here. Obviously, we have to discuss the logic behind using CBD for headaches, and what the science and anecdotal reports say.

Then there’s debating the best products when it comes to using CBD specifically for the purpose of relieving headaches, and then we can get into the question of application.

So, now we’ve started this article in an almost school essay style of explaining what we’re going to discuss before discussing it (I don’t know why we’ve started this way, but it’s happened, and we’re running with it) let’s get into the questions.

Does CBD Work for Headaches?

Let’s be honest, the answer to this question is the answer to the majority of questions when it comes to the potential health benefits of CBD, maybe.

At this point, science is limited with the exception of certain areas, and while research is being carried out, it is yet to have reached the extent of absolute proof, and that’s true of CBD to treat headaches too.

We are a little hand-tied in terms of what we can say due to the laws around CBD, but to be honest, we’re okay with that, because all the laws say is that we cannot make false health claims, and we have absolutely no interest in doing that.

So, treading carefully as we must, there have been a fair few studies into the effectiveness of THC and CBD combined on headaches and migraines, as well as other chronic pain conditions, and there have been some positive results here.

In terms of CBD individually, the science is a bit behind that, so we can only really use anecdotal evidence. Now, while many people do claim that CBD has helped alleviate headaches for them, it must be stated that anecdotal evidence does not classify legally as proof, so while these stories exist, they are not sufficient for us to state that CBD definitely headaches.

If you want to try, however, and see how it works for you, then read on, dear reader.

The Best CBD Products for Headaches and Migraines

While there are many CBD products available, some are, logically, potentially better for the relief of headaches than others.

Vaping, for example, while a highly absorbable form of CBD use, is not necessarily advised. The majority of people who treat headaches with CBD, do so using CBD oils.

How to Best Apply CBD for Headaches

If you are using CBD oil for any reason, then you want it to be as bioavailable (easily absorbed by the body) as possible. To that end, the sublingual (under the tongue) method is the best.

If you are using CBD under the tongue, then the best bet is to hold the oil under to tongue for as long as possible, but for at least 60 seconds if you can, more on that here.

Holding the oil under your tongue increases its bioavailability, making it easier for your body to absorb, and allowing for the most potential benefits to be experience.

Whether this will clear out a headache or migraine, as stated above, we cannot guarantee, but if CBD does help with these issues, then CBD oil under the tongue is probably the best way to apply it.

Do you use CBD for headaches and migraines? What methods do you prefer for application? Do they work for you?
